On June 14 & 15, fundraising began for our “Paint The Old Church New” interior painting project.
The audience gathers for the concert.
The Historic Old Church hosted two spectacular night of chamber music. The first, Astoria Festival Preview, featured not one but TWO Tchaikovsky winners, violinist Martin Chalifour and cellist Sergey Antonov.

Pianist Cary Lewis also joined the dynamic duo and played the debut of Ernest Bloch’s Sonata for Piano and Violoncello, an early work of Bloch that is rarely performed.

The next evening, The Bainbridge Quartet, a group of local and not so local musicians who have played together individually but not all together at one time, joined musical forces to help raise money for the project. Players include, Timothy Schwarz & Denise Dillenbeck, violin, Charles Nobel, viola and Heather Blackburn, cello.
